In Indiana County Court today, sentencing is scheduled for two defendants, including 25-year-old Jordan Hankey of Oak Street in Indiana, who pleaded guilty in two burglary cases.
Hankey admitted guilt to criminal trespass in one case, in exchange for non-prosecution on two counts each of burglary and theft, and single counts of criminal trespass and theft by deception. That was for a break-in last fall at a home along Laurel Road in Armstrong Township. A camera, chainsaw, air compressor, drill, impact wrench, tool set, leaf blower, and golf clubs were stolen and some of them were sold to a pawn shop.
In the second case, Hankey pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, with non-prosecution for theft in an October in the 400 block of Water Street. A woman told police Hankey stole a television and DVD player and sold them to a pawn shop.
33-year-old Damany Hayes of Indiana, who is currently an inmate at the Allegheny County Jail, will be sentenced for possession with intent to deliver for a drug bust last September. In March of 2015, Hayes sold crack cocaine to an undercover state trooper and a confidential informant at the Indiana Mall. He’s serving time in Allegheny County for a guilty plea to conspiracy to possession with intent to deliver.
