A Homer City man faces public drunkenness charges after he was found by police passed out early Sunday morning. State Police say around 1:45 AM on Sunday, they found 35-year-old William Zack passed out in a clothes basket on the front porch of a home that wasn’t his. He was lodged at the Indiana County Jail.
A 33-year-old Lucernemines man is charged with simple assault and harassment after an argument turned physical in Young Township. State police are now reporting on the incident that happened on April 25th or 26th. A 44-year-old Indiana woman and the man got into an argument when he grabbed her wrist and cut her hand using a utility knife. Neither victim or suspect were identified in the report. Charges were filed at District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office.
State police are investigating two cases of identity theft out of Burrell Township. The first incident took place sometime between March 30th and May 23rd as someone used the information of a 72-year-old Blairsville man to open a Bloomingdale’s Credit Card Account and an AT&T Account. The second incident dates back to March 31st, when the information for a 74-year-old man from Blairsville was used to open an AT&T Wireless account. No word if these two cases are related.
