Indiana Borough police responded to a domestic dispute late Friday night on the 1400 block of Philadelphia Street. Around 11:20 PM, borough police, assisted by IUP police, discovered that 29-year-old Alyssa Emigh had gotten into an altercation with her boyfriend and cut him with a knife. Emigh was taken into custody and lodged at the Indiana County Jail. She has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault.
Around 2:05 early Saturday morning, Indiana Borough police located 26-year-old Connor Ostruh of Indiana in the 400 Block of Water Street, who was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with public drunkenness. He was later released to a sober adult.
State police report an incident of harassment at a home on Cemetery Road in Cherryhill Township. At 3:15 PM on May 31st, 36-year-old Samuel Groom of Clymer showed up at the home of 72-year-old Billie Murdick, also of Clymer, to retrieve personal items. While there, a confrontation ensued and Murdick was shoved by Groom. Charges have been filed for harassment and simple trespass.
