Linda Rose (O’Neil) Porter, 66, of Black Lick, PA died Thursday, June 01, 2017 at Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana, PA.
Linda was born June 24, 1950 in Homer City, PA to James N. O’Neil and Mary Lou (Taylor) O’Neil
Linda attended Hebron Lutheran Church in Blairsville, PA. She worked as an LPN at various nursing homes and hospitals. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Church. She loved cooking and music. She was a 1968 graduate of Blairsville High School and a 1975 graduate of Indiana Area Practical School of Nursing. Linda helped volunteer with putting up flags at the Blairsville Cemetery.
Linda is survived by daughter Mary Lou Porter, Blairsville, PA; grandchilden Gabriel Matthew Porter and Alex Jacob Dececoo; brothers Daniel J. O’Neil (wife Dee Dee), Blairsville, PA and Raymond O’Neil (wife Diana), Apollo, PA; sisters Carol Lopez (husband Ron), Pixley, CA, Nancy Chapla (husband Robert), Josephine, PA, Beverly Hughes (husband David), Blairsville, PA, Diane Branthoover (husband Bruce), New Alexandria, PA; 32 nieces and Nephews; special friends Ruthann Zimmerman and Donna Levine.
Lisa is preceded in death by father James N. O’Neil, mother Mary Lou (Taylor) O’Neil, brother James O’Neil Jr., sister Kathy Tarr and sister Peggy Alhborn.
Visitation will be at James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 10-11 AM, the time of the funeral service in the Funeral Home. Rev. Marsha Adams and Pastor Debra Adams will co-officiate.
