A special meeting was held yesterday concerning the Southwestern PA Region’s Transportation Improvement Program.
The TIP is a four-year plan that’s updated every two years that concerns many different areas of transportation. Yesterday’s “open house” meeting was a chance for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission to gather ideas that could help Indiana County in the next TIP plan, which would start in 2019. Doug Smith of the Commission said that Indiana County saw a lot of bridge repairs or replacements, and that may be on the plan once again.
This marks the first step on the TIP Plan, and public comment is still welcome on ideas for the TIP. You can submit your comments on the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission’s website, http://www.spcregion.org
