Indiana County’s office of Planning and Development will hold a public participation panel today to discuss the draft Transportation Improvement Program for 2017 to 2020.
The open house-style meeting today at 3:30 at the Indiana County CareerLink on Indian Springs Road will give people not only a chance to look at the maps and plans, but to talk about the plans with PennDOT, The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission, and the office of planning and development. The 2017-2020 TIP plan includes a proposed $1.9 billion in spending for public transportation, another $1.7 billion for roads and bridges, and another $1.3 billion in other federal, state, and private funding for interstates, railroads and other major projects.
You can take a look at the plan now at the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission’s website: http://www.spcregion.org/trans_plan_tip.shtml
