Two defendants are scheduled to be sentenced today in Indiana County Court. They include 25-year-old Anthony Jamal Sands of Pittsburgh, who pleaded guilty to felony offenses in two drug cases.
Sands was caught with 150 stamp bags of heroin last December 19th on Ben Franklin Road and pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver. He admitted guilt to criminal use of a communication facility for a July 2015 case in Burrell Township, when he was one of three people arrested along Route 22 with marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia.
Matthew Raymond Gunn, who will turn 26 years old tomorrow, pleaded guilty in two drug cases, to possession with intent to deliver in a case from May 9th of last year and to simple possession in a December case. Both of the heroin-related charges stemmed from arrests in the Burrell Township Walmart parking lot outside of Blairsville.
