A Saltsburg man is accused of trying to steal kegs of beer from a distributor in Conemaugh Township last Thursday afternoon.
State police say 44-year-old Kenneth Glen Yingling parked his vehicle at the back of Saltsburg Beverage, along Leech Avenue, got out of the vehicle and began looking inside the windows of parked delivery vans. Finding them empty, he then opened a storage area attached to the building and grabbed the two beer kegs while an employee was inside the store assisting a customer.
Police were able to identify Yingling as the suspect, but he eluded capture and a felony arrest warrant was issued. He was taken into custody early Friday morning and was placed in the Indiana County Jail to await court action.
