The Pirates belted out 13 hits in a 10-4 victory over the Washington Nationals Thursday afternoon.
Josh Bell hit a two-run home run in the first inning, his ninth to lead all National League rookies. John Jaso also homered, a solo shot, in the fifth inning.
Adam Frazier led the team with three hits and four RBIs.
Tyler Glasnow picked up his second win of the season with five innings of work.
The Pirates open a three-game weekend series with the Phillies tonight at PNC Park at 7:05 p.m. Trevor Willians will start for Pittsburgh. Pre-game is at 6:40 p.m. on AM 1160 WCCS and 101.1 FM.
