The second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs between the Penguins and the Washington Capitals will go to a Game 7 after the Pens failed to clinch the series on Monday night.
The Penguins lost to the Caps, 5-2, in Game 6 and now must go back to Washington. The Penguins will try to avoid blowing a 3-1 lead in the series.
Jake Guentzel and Evgeni Malkin scored in the third period but it was too little and too late. Marc-Andre Fleury made 21 saves for the Penguins.
