The Indiana County Chamber will host a panel discussion tomorrow morning concerning medicinal marijuana in the workplace.
Pennsylvania is one of the most recent states to permit the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes when the act permitting it passed in 2016. The forum that will happen tomorrow morning will focus on managing medical marijuana in the workplace, and maintaining the delicate balance between an employer’s duty to accommodate their employees and maintaining a safe workplace.
On the panel for this discussion will be Dr. Patrick Shannon of IRMC, Sterling Crockett of AgriMed industries, and Labor Law Attorney Alan C. Bianco. It will be held at the KCAC and will get underway at 7:30 AM. Those interested can still register by calling the chamber office at 724-465-2511. It will cost $25 to attend.
