The two front-runners in the Heritage Conference maintained their current tie for first place by winning their respective games on Thursday.
Homer-Center 16, Saltsburg 9
Trailing 9-1 after four and a half innings, the Homer Center baseball team scored two runs in the 5th inning and 13 runs in the 6th inning to defeat Saltsburg.
Corey Cavalier went 3-5 with a single, double and triple while knocking in four runs. Josh Gibbons went 4 for 4 for Saltsburg.
Blairsville 9, Ligonier Valley 4
Blairsville pitcher Ryan Shirley pitched seven innings, striking out five and walking just one, for the win. Dakota Sunday led Blairsville with three singles and Ricky Shirley hit two.
Blairsville plays host to Homer-Center on Tuesday.
