Ginny continued to live in Titusville until she moved to Falcons Landing Retirement Community, Potomac Falls, Virginia, in April 2004.
Ginny was a person who enjoyed life and all its treasures, spending time with and entertaining family and friends. She was always on the go, taking pleasure in concerts, plays, movies, sports, day trips, chapel services, reading, and all things bright and beautiful. She was loved by all and will be truly missed by family and friends.
Ginny was predeceased by her husband, Colonel Rudolph Nystrom and her parents, Mont and Harriet (Smith) Getty, brothers: George, John and Lynn Getty and sister, Dorothy Getty Strickler and her stepsons: Bob and Jim Nystrom.
