The Indiana County Commissioners yesterday issued an advertisement for the submission of bids for the Phase 1 archaeological survey of county-owned land that would house a new Alice Paul House domestic violence shelter and administrative offices for associated support services.
The new building would be constructed along Saltsburg Avenue in White Township on land that has been historically used for agricultural purposes. It would be a two-story building of approximately 13,350 square feet.
The archaeological survey si required by state law. Bids are due by May 23rd and the commissioners hope the survey can be complete by the end of August. The proposal for bids is located on the Office of Planning and Development’s website, icopd.org.
