WHITE TOWNSHIP
A Homer City man faces charges of retail theft for an incident on April 22nd. State Police say around 5:06 PM, Douglas Tantalinger of Homer City took several items off the shelves of the White Township Wal-Mart and left the store. He would then go back inside and when he was confronted, threw several items inside the store. Tantalinger was in custody of Wal-Mart until State Police got there. Charges were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
CANOE TOWNSHIP
A 21-year-old Rossiter man faces a charge of simple assault in Canoe Township. State Police from Punxsutawney say the man, who was not named in the police report, assaulted an unidentified 25-year-old Rossiter Woman at a home on Smyerstown Road in Canoe Township. The woman was able to retreat to a restroom and call police. The woman was taken to Punxsutawney Hospital for treatment. The man was taken into custody. Charges were filed at District Judge Jennifer Rega’s office.
