BASEBALL
Blairsville 7, Penns Manor 6 (11 innings)
Blairsville needed four extra innings but finally scored a walk-off win over the Penns Manor Comets. Kyle McConnell walked to lead off the 11th and Dakota Sunday was intentionally walked after a wild pitch moved up McConnell. They both advanced on a double steal, setting up Ryan Shirley’s walk-off single to left field.
Shirley got the win on three innings of relief, giving up just one hit and one unearned run with five strikeouts and no walks. That unearned run in the ninth inning almost saddled Shirley with the loss, but Blairsville tied the game in bottom of ninth.
