Aging Services is warning people that there is a potential scammer using their name to try to cheat you out of money.
Jim McQuown of Aging Services of Indiana County informed your Hometown Radio Stations that someone reported to them that they received a call from someone claiming to be with Aging Services soliciting money for a charitable organization. The caller will say they are with Aging Services raising money for breast cancer research and will ask you for your credit card or bank account number.
McQuown reminds everyone that Aging Services will not try to solicit funds over the phone. We advise you that if you receive this call, don’t give your credit card or personal information over the phone. After that information is given out, it may be difficult to get your money back.
