The Pirates lost, 2-1, to the St. Louis Cardinals – again – on Wednesday. The Bucs were swept in three games by the Cards, each time by the score of 2-1.
Josh Bell hit his first homer of the season in the fourth inning.
Gerrit Cole gave up both Cardinals runs in six innings and suffered his second loss.
The Pirates fell to 6-9.
