UPDATE: Mark Alan Campbell was sentenced earlier today to three-and-a-half to seven years in State Prison for his guilty pleas in the homicide by vehicle case. Other sentencing results have not been announced yet.
WHAT WE ORIGINALLY REPORTED
Sentencing is scheduled today for a Homer City man who pleaded guilty in January to homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence for a crash in March of last year in Pine Township. 55-year-old Mark Alan Campbell’s car crossed the center line on Route 422 and collided with the car of 68-year-old Shirley Pegg of Rayne Township, who suffered fatal injuries.
Other defendants to be sentenced today are 33-year-old Jessie Fedorka of Strongstown for two cases. She pleaded guilty to two counts of simple assault for striking three children, ages 12, 11, and 10, who told police that they were hit with a belt, an open hand, and a closed fist on multiple occasions. Fedorka was listed with a Homer City address at the time.
In the other case, she pleaded guilty to theft in a access device fraud case. She and another woman used a stolen debit card to make more than $2,100 worth of purchases at various locations.
Also in court today, 42-year-old Pamela Hartzog of Blairsville will be sentenced for retail theft; 43-year-old Ryan Hummel of Blairsville will be sentenced for receiving stolen property in a theft from a vehicle case; 22-year-old Jermaine Mullen of Williamsport will be sentenced for possession with intent to deliver; 28-year-old Ian Thomas Nixon of New Florence will be sentenced for theft.
