PLUMVILLE
No one was injured in a crash reported on April 1st in Plumville.
State Police say the crash happened at 3:35 in the afternoon on Plumville’s main street at the intersection with Smicksburg Road. An SUV driven by 58-year-old Laurie Young of Rossiter was stopped at a stop sign on Smicksburg Road and getting ready to make a right turn onto Main Street, but pulled out into the intersection as a truck driven by 61-year-old Andrew Renosky of Beyer was approaching in the northbound lane of Main Street. The front driver’s side bumper of the truck hit the driver’s side front door of the SUV. The SUV was disabled and had to be towed, while the truck was still functional and was able to be driven away.
Young was cited by police for stop sign/yield sign violations.
INDIANA BOROUGH
Indiana borough police have charged an IUP student with loitering and prowling and other crimes connected with an incident early Friday morning. Police were called at 3:26 in the morning to a home in the 200 block of Elm Street for a report of a man who smashed the door on the back porch of the residence. Police found Nicholas Lonardi, a student from Elizabethtown, and arrested him for loitering and prowling, criminal mischief and public drunkenness. A citation was filed with District Judge Guy Haberl.
Indiana Borough Police are currently looking for a suspect they are accusing of trespass and criminal mischief. Police say that around 2:50 AM on Friday, a resident in the 300 block of South 4th street reported that a white man went onto his property by damaging a gate to his fenced-in backyard. The man tampered with his vehicle and then fled on foot. The property owner said the incident was recorded on security cameras, and police have used those cameras to find a suspect, but they are not releasing any further information on the suspect. The investigation is continuing.
