The Pirates completed their first three-game home sweep of the Atlanta Braves since 1994 with a 6-5 walk-off victory Sunday afternoon at PNC Park.
Starling Marte launched a two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th for the win. Adam Frazier led off the inning with a double.
Marte collected four hits and scored twice. He and Frazier accounted for seven of the team’s 11 hits in the 1-2 spots of the lineup.
Felipe Rivero, who gave up a go-ahead run to Atlanta in the top of the 10th inning, picked up the win. Gerrit Cole started for the Pirates and gave up three runs in six innings.
With the win, the Pirates are 3-2, their first winning record of the season.
