IUP had nine extra base hits, including three home runs, to win the day with scores of 14-5 and 8-6.
The two wins wrapped up a four-game series sweep of Clarion, the Crimson Hawks first such sweep since the end of the 2014 season.
IUP improved to 10-14 overall, but more importantly is now tied with Slippery Rock for second in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) with a 7-5 divisional record. Mercyhurst leads the way at 11-1, while Seton Hill and California are tied for fourth at 6-6.
Dickey was one of six players with multiple hits on Saturday, with Wes Carson, Scott Hess, and Cory Wheeler each combining for three hits in the doubleheader. Wheeler and Matt Swartz both hit home runs and drove in four runs, while Dan Sepic also went yard.
Picking up the wins on the mound were Mike Klingensmith in game one and Christian McClure in the nightcap. Klingensmith struck out six in six innings of work, giving up four runs on eight hits. McClure was credited with the win in relief, striking out three and giving up one earned over the final 3.2 innings of the game two win.
The Crimson Hawks play a doubleheader at Penn State DuBois on Tuesday, before a four-game set with Slippery Rock next weekend.
