State Police issued several reports on Accidents in Indiana County, including one on March 30th in Conemaugh Township.
This crash happened on Leech Avenue as the driver of a white truck attempted to make a left turn from Route 286 on to High Street going into Saltsburg, but part-way through the turn, the driver changed his mind and swerved back onto Route 286, coming to a quick stop. That caused a chain-reaction crash behind the truck, after which the truck driver continued on his way without stopping.
Caught up in the crash was Jennifer Thornhurst of Saltsburg, whose SUV rear-ended a car driven by Toshaa Galloway of Indiana, pushing Galloway’s car into a vehicle driven by Ryan Coffman of Belle Vernon. Galloway suffered minor injuries and was taken to IRMC for treatment.
Also, one person was injured in a crash last Saturday in a front-to-rear collision on Oakland Avenue in White Township. Police say it happened in period of dense traffic when 20-year-old Cory Franks of Homer City rear-ended a car driven by 52-year-old Lisa Bird of Shelocta. Bird suffered suspected minor injuries and was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment.
