Downtown Indiana, Inc. will hold a meeting next week to discuss the proposed plan for the business improvement district.
The last BID plan expired in August of last year, but Downtown Indiana extended the services of the BID to the end of 2016, and was able to provide limited services for the first part of this year. Last week, they announced that they would no longer provide the BID agreement services and not have a maintenance person due to a lack of funding sources.
A meeting for property and business owners is set for Wednesday, April 12th at 5:00 PM to discuss a draft plan for the BID. Downtown Indiana says this is the first draft of the plan, and the input they receive in this meeting will be used to help craft future drafts. Bill Fontana, the executive director of the Pennsylvania Downtown Center and members of Downtown Indiana will be on hand to answer questions and address concerns.
