A Saltsburg man narrowly avoided hitting a stopped school bus yesterday morning, crashing instead into a roadside gas meter and a utility pole along Route 286.
State police say 19-year-old Bo Brunner was driving at a high rate of speed when he came upon the school bus, which was waiting to make a left turn onto Tunnelton Road. After hitting the gas meter, Brunner’s car overturned and slid into the pole. He was not hurt.
