Authorities were definitely busy this past weekend, not only with shooting investigations, but with other incidents throughout the area.
The State Police from the Indiana barracks have released the breakdown of duties they performed from March 23rd to March 25th, which was the unsanctioned student celebration of St. Patrick’s day, as they not only handled calls in White Township but assisted Indiana Borough Police. State Police issued 60 traffic citations and 21 written warnings, and assisted local police with parties, fights or other incidents 22 times. They also issued 18 public drunkenness and disorderly conduct citations, made eight DUI arrests and made eight drug-related arrests. They also were part of eight investigations into thefts or disturbances, made six underage drinking arrests, and made six misdemeanor arrests.
No word yet on how many incidents overall were investigated by Indiana Borough Police, but over the last few days, they issued many reports on petty incidents that involved alcohol during the weekend.
