Indiana Borough police have issued a large batch of incident reports, mostly alcohol-related petty crime, but one incident involved was much more than that.
21-year-old Jelahn Williams of Philadelphia is charged with aggravated assault, burglary, escape, and other offenses for a break-in at an apartment on Park Place. Police were summoned for a burglary in progress and arrived to find Williams, who was taken into custody. But after he was handcuffed, Williams twice tried unsuccessfully to escape and resisted arrest.
Additional charges include criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, simple assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. Williams was placed in the Indiana County Jail to await arraignment.
