Tyler Glasnow struck out nine batters and the Pirates came back twice, as the Bucs beat Detroit, 5-4, Saturday afternoon in Grapefruit League action.
Glasnow walked only one batter in four innings, allowing three runs on five hits.
Adam Frazier and Austin Meadows hit home runs for the Pirates, who came back from 3-0 and 4-3 deficits. The Pirates managed just four hits, but Francisco Cervelli drove in two runs.
The Pirates are back on AM 1160 WCCS and 101.1 FM Sunday vs. Philadelphia, airtime 1 p.m.
