As far as reports for drunk and disorderly behavior go, police agencies that are assisting with details for the unsanctioned student celebration of St. Patrick’s Day have been relatively quiet.
So far only one report of drunk and disorderly behavior has come in, and that was a call to an apartment in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue for a report of a man passed out in an apartment complex. When Indiana Borough Police arrived on the scene, they found 18-year-old Kevin Anderson, an IUP student from Downingtown, who was passed out in the apartment complex. He was taken by medics to IRMC for treatment. Anderson was issued citations for underage drinking and public drunkenness.
No reports have come in from the State Police or the I-ACT committee concerning the activities of the weekend. IUP has planned a few activities as part of what they are calling the “March Mingle 2016”. Lawn games and laser tag are planned for the Wallwork Hall Courtyard today at 11:00 AM.
A student cleanup is planned for 10 AM Sunday morning throughout town starting at Pratt Hall.
