An often-postponed preliminary hearing is scheduled for today before District Judge Guy Haberl.
40-year-old Vincent Dilascio is charged with a single felony count of attempting to lure a child into his vehicle. He’s accused of trying to get an 11-year-old girl into his Volvo sedan on June 3rd of last year on North 11th Street in Indiana Borough. He allegedly pulled alongside her and asked her personal questions, but she fled and called 911 on her cell phone. Police say he then circled the block trying to find her.
Dilascio has been held at the Indiana County Jail since his arrest six days after the incident. He’s scheduled to be in court at 1:30 this afternoon. The preliminary hearing has been continued six times already, the most recent postponement about a month ago.
