BURRELL TOWNSHIP COLLISION
A New Florence woman was injured Friday afternoon in a two-car collision on Route 119 in Burrell Township.
State police say 40-year-old Christine Penrose was a passenger in a car driven by 64-year-old Linda Lear of Robinson. Lear’s car failed to stop at a red light at 119 and Campbell’s Mill Road and crashed into a car driven by 39-year-old Michael Slater of Butler as Slater was making a left turn. Penrose was taken to the Indiana Regional Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.
WHITE TOWNSHIP HIT-AND-RUN
Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash Friday evening in the Walmart parking lot in White Township. A 25-year-old Creekside woman returned to her car from shopping and found someone had hit the right rear corner of her vehicle. A check of Walmart security video showed the offending vehicle was a white, older-model Ford F-150 pickup with a black tool box in its bed, which pulled through a parking stall and hit the woman’s SUV. The pickup had a male and female inside it.
