The first day of spring has PennDOT looking forward to the start of the construction season. A bridge replacement project is scheduled to resume this week on Route 422 in Cherryhill Township.
PennDOT says the $2.88 million Ewings Mill Bridge #1 project will restart tomorrow, with daytime flagger-controlled lane restrictions on 422 between Simons Rock Road and Route 259. The new bridge is expected to be completed before the end of September.
With the start of construction season, PennDOT asks that drivers be alert for bridge and road projects and keep workers safe. Visit 511pa.com for condition updates on any major state roadway. 511PA is also available through a smartphone app, by calling 5-1-1, or via Twitter.
