The Jimmy Stewart Museum is already planning the museum’s upcoming 21st anniversary on May 20th.
Saturday, May 20th will be the 109th birthday of Stewart, the Academy-Award winning star born and raised in Indiana. The museum is planning a special day of events, which will include a singing birthday tribute by the Sweet Adelines at the theater in the museum, a presentation from members of the Indiana Junior High Jimmy Stewart Club, and a display of antique cars from the Punxsutawney Antique Auto Club.
The festivities will also include the museum debut of a new Jimmy Stewart Documentary produced by the museum. The program, called “Be Nice to People”, is narrated by one of Jimmy’s daughters, Kelly Stewart-Harcourt, and while it does feature Jimmy in many of his iconic films like “The Philadelphia Story”, “It’s A Wonderful Life” and others, it also shows Jimmy’s personal values.
The documentary film is already available in the museum’s store.
