Phil Gosselin hit a grand slam in a five-run fifth inning, as the Pirates beat the Baltimore Orioles, 6-5, Wednesday in Grapefruit League action.
David Freese knocked in a run with a double before Gosselin’s homer.
Antonio Bastardo picked up the win with two scoreless innings of pitching.
The Pirates improved to 13-5 in spring training.
