Mary Kay McGinnis, 86, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at her residence.
A daughter of the late Thomas and Irene Grimes Murray, she was born Oct. 31, 1930, in Mars.
Mrs. McGinnis lived most of her life in Indiana and was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. She graduated from Indiana High School in 1948 and went on to graduate from St. Francis School of Nursing. Mrs. McGinnis retired from Indiana Regional Medical Center, where she was a registered nurse.
She is survived by two children: Kathy Detwiler and husband Robert, of Worthington; Daniel McGinnis and wife Michelle, of Harrisburg; a sister, Phyllis Gretz, of Punxsutawney; a daughter-in-law, Sharon McGinnis; a son-in-law, David Kensey; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leslie McGinnis; three children: James P. McGinnis, Michael McGinnis, Teresa Kensey; two brothers: Joseph P. Murray and Thomas F. Murray.
There will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum.
