E. Raymond “Bud” Grove, Jr., 90, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
A son of the late Elmer Raymond Grove, Sr., and Zelda Ruth Shearer Grove, he was born Aug. 23, 1926, in Indiana.
Mr. Grove retired from IA Construction, where he was a mechanic. He was a member of Local 66 Operating Engineers for 60 years, a 32nd Degree Mason of the Indiana Lodge 313 F. & A.M., and the Altoona Jaffa Shrine.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Shaffer Grove, of Indiana; two sons: Gerald R. Grove and wife Diana, of Creekside; Daniel B. Grove and wife Amy, of Pittsburgh; a brother, Royden Grove and wife Carolyn, of Indiana; three grandchildren: Timothy Grove, Emily McIntire, Lindsey Grove; two great grandchildren: Benjamin McIntire, Olivia McIntire, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Grove; and a sister, Irene Hawk.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Denny Marshall officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
The observance of graveside military honors will be accorded by members of Indiana V.F.W. Lodge 1989.
