The Penguins came back from a three-goal deficit in the first period to defeat the Buffalo Sabres, 4-3, Sunday evening at PPG Paints Arena.
The Penguins (40-24) scored twice in the second period and twice more in the third.
Jake Guentzel and Conor Sheary scored late in the third period, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 28 saves in relief.
Sheary gave the Penguins a 4-3 lead by shooting into an open left side of Buffalo’s net with 2:56 left to complete the three-goal comeback.
Fleury replaced Matt Murray in goal to start the second period. Murray made 18 saves on 21 shots.
