The NCAA Division Two Atlantic Region pairings were announced Sunday and the IUP women are a number two seed after winning the PSAC Championship earlier Sunday, defeating California University, 84-79, at Shippensburg.
The ladies will play seven seed Johnson C. Smith of North Carolina Friday at host California University.
Point guard Carolyn Appleby was named the tournament’s MVP after scoring 30 points Sunday and 67 points with 18 assists in the tourney.
The IUP men will play at host Fairmont State in West Virginia Saturday against Kutztown University. The men are seeded 4th, Kutztown 5th.
