The Saltsburg boys’ basketball team will play in the District 6 Class A championship game against Williamsburg after defeating Juniata Valley, 65-48, in the semifinals Monday night at Central Cambria.
Nick Porter scored 22 points to lead the Trojans and Jordan Booth added 14 points.
Saltsburg and Williamsburg meet Thursday night, 8 p.m., at St. Francis University.
In an earlier game on the same court, the Blairsville girls’ basketball team held Bishop McCort to a season-low 37 points, but it wasn’t enough, as McCort prevailed, 37-29, in the District 6 Class AA semifinals.
Rena Enterline and Mackenna Emanuel each scored nine points to lead Blairsville. McCort point guard Haley Thomas scored a game-high 23 points.
Blairsville, which has already clinched a state playoff berth, will play Bishop Guilfoyle in the consolation game Wednesday at a site to be determined.
