POUNDS, JOHN R. “JACK”, 78 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA (DERRY TWP.)
passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his home. He was born April 09, 1938 in Latrobe, PA, the son of the late John H. Pounds and Ruth (Edsall) Pounds. He retired from Blairsville Westinghouse after 40 years of service. Jack was a member of the Blairsville VFW and also the Derry Eagles. He loved collecting all sort of things and flea marketing. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carol J. (Gottshall) Pounds of Blairsville, PA; daughter, Jacqueline Celestine & husband, Gerald; son, Jeffrey Wineland & wife, Laura; daughter, Jill Hammil & husband, Jason; grandchildren: Jeremy, Sarah, Jina, Joseph, Elizabeth, Katie, Peter & Katherine; 1 Great Grand Son; sister, Norma Bridges & husband, Terry of Overland Park, KS; brother, David Kevin Pounds of Blairsville, PA; several Nieces & Nephews and also his uncle, Paul Edsall of New Alexandria, PA. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Timothy Pounds and son, James R. Pounds. In keeping with Jack’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
