Gregory “Eggy” J. Gallo, 62, of Indiana, PA died Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Communities at Indian Haven in Indiana, PA.
The son of Albert J. and Dorothy E. (Kohler) Gallo, he was born on June 2, 1954 in Washington, DC.
Greg attended Indiana High School before serving in the US Marine Corps as a Corporal during Vietnam.
Greg’s career centered around his work as a carpenter in the field of general construction.
He was a former member of the Homer City American Legion.
Greg was an excellent cook. In his spare time, he enjoyed trout fishing and going camping.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Gallo of Indiana, PA; his three children: Adam Gallo and wife Stephanie of Indiana, PA; Andrew Gallo and wife Samantha of Home, PA and Krsytle Busija and husband Tony of Indiana, PA and his four grandchildren: Drew and Clairissa Gallo and Kayden and Kortlynd Gallo.
Also surviving are his brothers and sisters: Trish Ober and husband Ivan of McDonald, PA; Carol Kuntz and husband Fred of Atlanta, GA; Kathy Rose and husband Gary of Indiana, PA; Margie Fisher and husband Tim of Delmont, PA; Rich Gallo and wife Wendy of Indiana, PA; Michael Gallo of Atlanta, GA and Linda Rupert and husband Chuck of New Castle, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Albert Gallo; his brother, Albert Gallo and his son, Gregory Gallo, Jr.
Friends will be received from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where a 2:00 p.m. funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Military honors will be observed at the funeral home at the conclusion of the funeral ceremony.
