IUP has announced the full schedule for next football season. It kicks off with a Thursday Night Home Opener with Ashland on August 31st at 7 PM. Following the Ashland opener are three more home games against East Stroudsburg (Sept. 9), Cheyney (Sept. 16), and Edinboro (Sept. 23). Just two of the final seven games on the schedule will come at home, including the ninth annual Coal Bowl against seventh-ranked California on Oct. 7. The Crimson Hawks will also host Gannon on Oct. 28.
Road games for IUP include Seton Hill (Sept. 30), Slippery Rock (Oct. 14), Clarion (Oct. 21), and Mercyhurst (Nov. 4).
PSAC Championship Saturday is Nov. 11, with IUP currently scheduled to play at Bloomsburg. However, all games in the conference that weekend on dependent on the winners of the PSAC Eastern and Western Divisions.
ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Redshirt junior Charles Wilson-Adams of the men’s indoor track & field team and redshirt sophomore guard Lauren Wolosik of the women’s basketball team have been named the IUP Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 5.
