MORGAN, HELEN ELIZABETH (WINCEK), 83 OF JOSEPHINE, PA
passed away peacefully at home, from complications of a stroke, on Thursday, January 26, 2017. She was born September 01, 1933 in Coral , PA, the daughter of the late Henry P. Wincek and Cecelia (DeWalt) Wincek. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral, PA. Helen had worked at Torrance State Hospital before marrying her husband of 61 years, Charles L. Morgan on November 10, 1955, then became a homemaker. She enjoyed doing ceramics, plastic canvas & baking. Helen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles L. Morgan of Josephine, PA; son, Robert Morgan of Josephine, PA; daughter, Sherry (Morgan) Sorg & husband, Steve of Wall, NJ; grand child, Kimberly Sorg of Wall, NJ; sister, Barbara Clark & husband, Jim of Indiana, PA; sister, Shirley Hodak & husband, George of Dixonville, PA as well as numerous Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Henry & Tom Wincek and sisters: Margaret Fertal, Mildred Penrose, Cecelia Szabo and Mary Ann Yanity. The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral, PA on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Fr. Alan Polczynski will officiate. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, Pennsylvania.
