The Pittsburgh Penguins won their third in a row with their 7-1 rout of the Carolina Hurricanes Friday night at PNC Bank Arena in the Carolinas.
The Pens started the scoring with Trevor Dailey scorring unassisted in the first period. In the second, the Pens poured it on, with Carl Hagelin, Connor Sheary, Chris Kunitz and Phil Kessel picking up a goal apiece. Evgeni Malkin would make it 6-0 in the third period before Carolina scored on a shorthanded goal by Viktor Stalberg. Sheary would pick up his second of the night to end the scoring in the third period.
The Pens limited the Hurricanes to 28 Shots in the game, including 15 shots over the final two periods.
