Two former Indiana County student athletes are making their mark at IUP. Natalie Cignetti of Indiana High School and Jenna Lezanic of Marion Center High School have been named to the PSAC Fall Top Ten Team.
Cignetti, a junior natural science and pre-med major with a 4.0 GPA has received ALL-Atlantic Region honors by the American Volleyball Coaches Association and the Conference Commissioners Association, as well as first team All-PSAC accolades.
She is a CoSIDA Academic All-District recipient and part of the American Medical Student Association.
Lezanic, a grad of Marion Center High School, also boosts a 4.0 GPA as a senior health services administration major on the IUP women’s cross country team. She earned one of the highest honors when she was named the NCAA Elite 90th Award for Division Two women’s cross country.
On the course, Lezanic earned All-PSAC and All-Atlantic Region honors finishing fifth at the regional championship meet to earn an individual bid to the NCAA Division Two championships. She was also named the PSAC Women’s Cross Country Scholar at the conference championship meet.
