HENDRICKS, EDWARD J., 81 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA (Blacklick Twp.)
Edward died peacefully surrounded by his family, after a long illness, on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA. He was born March 08, 1935 in German, PA, the son of the late William Hendricks and Julia (Skockelak) Hendricks.
Edward was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, PA. He retired from Clark Metal as a production manager. Ed also was the owner of E.J. Machining Company, Blairsville. He served in the US Army during the Korean war. He was a member and past president of the Italian Club of Blairsville, PA. He enjoyed gardening, all sports, hunting and fishing.
Edward is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geraldine “Geri” (Caruso) Hendricks of Blairsville, PA; daughter, Roberta “Robin” Ryan & husband, Douglas of Greensburg, PA; daughter, Susan McHugh of LeMont, PA; daughter, Karen “Kay” Condrasky & husband, Lou of Irwin, PA; daughter, Cindy Pellett & husband, Tim of Hermon, ME; son, John Hendricks of Mohrsville, PA; 8 grandchildren; brother, Robert Hendricks of Uniontown, PA and sister, Dolores Senyitko of Uniontown, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 3-7 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, PA on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM . Fr. William Lechnar will officiate. VFW Post #5821 & the American Legion Post #0407 will conduct military services Saturday morning at Church. Interment will be in the Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania.
