Pitt rallied in the second half, but the Panthers fell short in an 85-80 loss on the road at Louisville.
Pitt trailed by 21 at the half after a cold-shooting first twenty minutes. But Jamel Artis tried to pull the Panthers back into the game, scoring 31 of his career-high 43 points in the second half, and hitting seven three-pointers in the game.
Pitt is 12-and-5 and 1-and-3 in the ACC and will host Miami on Saturday.
