Doris Marie (Delcoco) Sobota, 88, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.
The daughter of Constantino and Concetta (Bendetto) Delcoco, she was born December 8, 1928 in Latrobe, PA.
Mrs. Sobota was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Theresa #562.
The most important part of her life was her daughter, Joanne.
She loved to go bowling and play the lottery.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Rose Ann Delcoco of Blairsville; a cousin, Loisanne Conn of Ligonier; her faithful fury friend, Tammy; two very good friends, Christina Bell of Blairsville and Beth Barto of Blairsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stephen in 1999; her daughter, Joanne in 2015 and two brothers, John and Robert Delcoco.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Monday. Prayers of Transfer will be held in the funeral home at 12:15 P.M. Tuesday followed by a funeral Mass at 1:00 P.M. in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, with Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as celebrant.
Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
