Edward F. Gonda, 89, Homer City died Monday, January 14, 2019 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late John and Mary (Mayausky) Gonda and was born March 1, 1929 in Waterman, PA.
Mr. Gonda was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, and a retired Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed listening to the radio and watching television and in his younger years was an avid hunter and fisherman. Edward was retired from the Palm Springs Orchard.
He is survived by one sister, Elizabeth and husband Donald Cipollini, Waterman; two brothers, William V. Gonda and wife, Patricia, Homer City and Raymond Gonda and wife Lili, Irvington, Vermont. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Leonard Gonda and his sister, Mary Jane Svilar.
Friends will be received Thursday from 9:30 until time of funeral service at 11 AM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. Interment will be in the St. Louis Cemetery, Lucernemines.
