Drainage issues were part of the discussions last night at the Blairsville Borough Council Meeting.
Council members talked with representatives with their engineers from Remington, Vernick and Beach concerning the Campbell Street drainage concerns. The drainage pipe is believed to be one of the older ones in the community and is too small to be effective. Borough manager Tim Evans said that they want to replace the 18-inch terra cotta pipe with a 36 inch pvc pipe, but the problem is that the pipe goes under a railroad line in the borough.

In other business, Evans announced that bid openings will be held February 19th for the Old Main and South Liberty Street paving project, which would include repaving the area along with upgrades to storm water and sanitary sewer lines.
